Are you looking to secure an admission at GIKI? Then there are a few important tips which you should know about before starting your preparation. Read on to get an idea of how to succeed at the GIKI entry test:
This applies to every entry, whether for GIKI or any other engineering institute. However, it becomes doubly important at the GIKI entry test because of its two different parts.
‘Part A’ has Physics and Mathematics questions, but also has negative marking, so you must be careful and give due time to each question before attempting it. While in part B, you’ll have no negative marking, but English questions including passage questions which require a lot of time.
So, get as much practice as you can using past papers etc. to make sure your approach and required time towards each part of the test is appropriate.
As said before, Part A of the GIKI entry test has Physics & Maths MCQs. However, the presence of negative marking in this portion increases the risk factor. It is advisable to only attempt questions about which you are sure of, otherwise negative marking could hurt your overall score.
Practice through the vast variety of MCQs in our course and past papers to gain mastery over all concepts.
Comprehension passage questions in Part B can consume a lot of time if not attempted smartly. A great way to reduce the time taken is to simply read the question, and then look for the answer.
This helps narrow down your focus and ignore unnecessary details. Of course, this technique doesn’t work with questions that ask for the main idea in a passage, for example, but is still highly useful for answering almost all other questions in a passage.
Utilizing and practicing through the past papers offered in our course will help you put all the above three tips into practice. You’ll learn to better manage your time, learn the appropriate approach for each part, and master concepts from all three subjects in the test.
Now that you’re equipped with the above tips, all that’s left for you to do is to sign up for our course and begin your preparation. Enroll today and ensure your success at the GIKI entry test!
