AST Entry Test: Tips for Analytical & IQ

The Analytical & IQ portion of the FAST entry test constitutes a significant part of the test, as it carries 20% weightage, which is second only to adv. mathematics (50%). However, students are not as familiarized with this subject as they are with others, such as English or Science subjects. In order to familiarize themselves with such questions and learn some useful tips on how to improve their chances of success in this portion of the FAST entry test, students may refer to the following:

1. Familiarize yourself with the Terminology

Similar to other subjects, questions in the Analytical & IQ portion of the FAST entry test have their own set of terminologies which students must familiarize themselves with in order to get a better grasp on the subject. Terms such analogy, odd one out, inference etc. are concepts which students must learn in order to improve their command over these questions. These concepts are extensively covered in this course as well as other courses where intelligence/analytical questions appear.
