  • Only Pakistani citizens, including domicile holders of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, can apply. Dual nationals must surrender their non-Pakistani nationalities upon final selection.
• Physical Standards:
  • Minimum height for males is 5 ft 4 inches (162.5 cm), and the weight should be in accordance with the Body Mass Index (BMI).
  • Additional physical standards, such as vision and overall fitness, are required as per army commission standards.

1. NUMS Cadets

For candidates seeking admission through the NUMS pathway:

• Mandatory Requirements:
  • MDCAT for NUMS: Passing the MDCAT is essential. The required pass percentage is 55% for admission to the MBBS program and 45% for BDS.
  • Academic Record: A minimum aggregate of 60% in FSc (Pre-Medical) or an equivalent qualification, along with at least 12 years of education in three subjects—Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics.
• Weightage Formula:
  • MDCAT for NUMS: 50%
  • HSSC/FSc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent: 40%
  • SSC/Matric or equivalent: 10%

2. Medical Cadets

For candidates specifically training to serve the medical services of the Armed Forces:

• Academic Record: A minimum aggregate of 70% in FSc (Pre-Medical) or A level passed with min C in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Selection Process:
  • Seats open for Male Cadets only. 
  • These candidates must undergo a special test conducted by Army recruitment centers.
  • A comprehensive medical examination is also required to ensure fitness for service in the Armed Forces.

   • Provide clear scanned copies of your CNIC/B-Form or equivalent documents.
   • Choose two preferred test centers based on availability.
   • Pay the application fee via debit/credit card, bank challan, or online banking.
3. Test & Selection:
   • Provincial Entry Test: Candidates who apply for admission as Medical Cadets (for Army course only) must have appeared or registered in a fresh provincial entry examination as eligible (ETEA, UHS MDCAT, Sindh MDCAT, AJ&K State Exam, etc.).
   • Written Test: Prepare for a multiple-choice exam covering Intelligence (both verbal and non-verbal), English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
   • Physical & Medical Tests: Meet the physical requirements by completing a
     1. Run 1.6 km in 9 minutes
     2. 15 repetitions of push-ups in 2 minutes
     3. Do 20 sit-ups in a 2 minute period
     4. Do 3 chin-ups in 2 minutes
     5. Ditch Crossing – 7 ft. 4 in. x 7 ft. 4 in. and 4′ deep.
   • Personality Test & Interview: Undergo psychological tests and interviews conducted by the GHQ selection board at AMC Rawalpindi.
   • Final Medical Examination: Complete a final medical check at a designated CMH before the final selection is made.
